A background sound design element used to create suspense in a horror scene. Very subtle, flowing modulation. Sounds similar to wind. Recorded with a roland groovebox self-sample utility straight to wav, though results in reduced high frequencies.

This is the sound of an slightly old and noisy ceiling fan being switched on, run for a bit, and then turned off. It has been recorded on my cheap android phone in an empty room in mumbai, india. There is some room tone hiss as well mixed in. You can loop the middle part to extend as the drone / rumble is quite steady. Feel free to use as and where you wish.

Over 5 minutes of background noise from a well-known new york city diner, including people talking, clanging plates and glasses and forks and knives and cups being cleared away by staff, and in the second half of the clip, radio ads playing faintly in the background. But crucially, no music is playing. This means you can either use this clean, or layer in your own rights-cleared music if you're using this in a film or whatever. Recorded in january 2019 with an iphone x — don't let the recording device scare you, it sounds pretty good and certainly fine for this kind of background noise. Use it in any way you like for any purpose. Update: i just uncovered a similar recording i made in 2016 at a different diner, and uploaded that here: https://freesound. Org/people/edlundart/sounds/515719/ pick whichever one you prefer, or use a combination of both!. Warmly, bard edlund, edlundart. Com.

A small park in higashi-koenji, tokyo at dusk. There are some university aged kids drinking and smoking in the background. I wanted to record the fountain sound as well, but the fountain had already been turned off. You can hear some bird, rustling of the wind in the trees and traffic in the distance. Recorded with a pair of mics at 120 degrees.

During the covid-19 lockdown, i spent some time walking where the city meets a mountain and discovered an area with loud but subtle electric infrastructure wires. These, along with cars, birds, and rustling leaves, are recorded with binaural microphones and cropped down to one minute.

In this, you are relaxing in the back of a small early 2000's convenience store/cafe lounge. You hear coolers, chatter, the sound of a cash register and debit machine off stage, and general store or cafe lounge sounds. This sound is dedicated to any asmrtists on youtube and is made with them in mind, but you may use this project for other uses. This sound was made by mixing several freesound sounds alongside a recording i did of my girlfriend and a few friends chatting at different volumes to make a completely new and realistic sound. An artistic experiment searching for sound emissions and the limit of human hearing. Composed of infrasonic material that have a low acoustic impedance. Humans will be able to identify tones as low as 12hz. Natural and human produced infrasonic sounds is anywhere, all the time. The artistic idea was to use background noises, signal fidelity, harmonic distortion, low-frequency in order to foster a soundscape of infrasound that travels through space. Made for project that was never released. Think somebody might enjoy or use it.

This is a tune i've made out of a short saxophone riff (using edirol orchestral vst) which i've pitch shifted and reversed and reverbed and stuff and i think it sounds a bit 80s and very much like background music for some sort of tv program or film with spying or detectives or ghosts or possibly straight horror.

Checked-in to a hotel in raleigh, north carolina with my wife to catch a flight early the next morning out of rdu. Suddenly, a storm rolled in to the area and, since we were going to bed anyway, i placed my zoomh4npro (120 degree setting) on the air conditioning unit below the window. I slid the window open just enough for clear audio without getting the microphones wet. Enjoy!. Christopher.
